I don’t consider myself to be a prude or a nympho. I enjoy a good old fashioned bedroom romp; living room romps and romps just about anywhere. I won’t give my keys to just any man with a license to drive, but when I do hand the keys over, I enjoy the ride to the fullest. I often come across magazine articles in Cosmo for example that always feature articles on how to please a man or what he wants to see more of, and not to brag, but I don’t see anything new information that is of value to me. Foreplay, role-play, oral play, lights on, basics of the bedroom to me?!
One of the biggest issues that both men and women have in the bedroom is our limitations. To be more specific, I’m talking about giving head. I don’t think there is a sex act with as much controversy surrounding it as oral sex. There are men who insist on receiving fellatio while they proclaim that they will never, as reggae artist Vybz Cartel so eloquently puts it, “put their face inna toilet seat”. On the flip side there are women who cringe at the thought of engulfing their partner, yet are more than happy to take a seat on his face.
In a perfect world, everyone would sixty-nine to get to cloud nine, but it’s not. We all have our sexual preferences, limitations, likes and dislikes, turn ons and turn offs, fetishes and fixations. I get that. I do. Really.
But what I don’t understand is the hypocrisy. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you- the golden rule? Blasphemy? The damn truth?
According to my googleresearch (one word) fellatio and cunnilingus could be traced back to the time of the Romans when servants of lower social standing would perform oral sex on a member of higher social standing (I’m too lazy to link the source, but I read this, oh yes I did). So from the jump we are led to believe that oral sex is associated with power. I’ll go out on a limb and say that most of the people who are disgusted with oral sex but are happy to receive it, may be afraid of giving up “power” by “lowering to their knees”. I disagree, as a fan of oral love, I believe that the only thing you give up is a chance to try something new and live life.
From a goddess point of view, cunnilingus definitely awakens a goddess sexually. We were intricately created to have 4 g spots and penetration cannot possibly reach all of them 
I can’t give you a males point of view, but the end result of a job well done, becomes very evident, and messy?
Do you think the golden rule should apply to giving head? Is oral sex overrated? Would you dispose of a partner that has a different view point than yours on oral sex?

In a “jump off” circumstance it is more a game of power and dominance. With no desire for a serious future, its on you to create the environment you wish to play in. For me I’ve received this treatment because that was what my partner wanted to do. Equivalent return wasn’t needed.
The Golden Rule is in full effect for this one; oral sex is not overrated. Any man I’m with must give head, 69 is a requirement.
I’m Jamaican and I will tell you I’ve dated Jamaican men and they asses give that shit up – don’t let them lie to you! I grew up in Flatbush, Brooklyn, NY, dated them same dudes that licked shots in the air for batty men and would sing all kinds of songs about the nastiness of giving head, but trust, when we were in the privacy of the bedroom, homeboys was face deep up in there!

I think it is a power trip for men. In other words: I think said “power trip” was essentially handed down through history as you illustrated hearkening back to Roman times. I say that because society as it is without any shadow of a doubt is indeed male dominated. And lets be honest:aren’t the Greek & Romans credited for Western Civilization?
I think for some women who refuse to…”put it in their mouths”, this is the reasoning. However, I think they mask it with the common line, “that’s just nasty,” or “only nasty girls do that.” But then again, they may just be that stupid and stuck on it if they do think that.
