Today I deleted my twitter account. I set myself free of one of the most distracting social networking sites for a writer. It wasn’t easy to do. After Tuesday’s post I found myself getting into twitter discussions or receiving feedback from people on the topic of independent women (Shoutout to @bon1bon & @LeonX on twitter). There are many “experts” in this area of discussion who blame women, black women in particular for pushing men away. Reports suggest that black women have the highest percentage of single women when compared to other races, we are privy to power struggles with our mates, we’re too damn picky and a whole bunch other bullshit that I am not with- period.

Ok so I’ve been sleeping on the conference posts, mainly because it was really an information overload and I was literally a walking zombie for all four and a half days of my mini vacation. I am still recovering!!!! And I have so much on the go right now, who knew this conference would change things for me the way it did.
