We are one day away from Christmas *throws confetti* before I slave away in my kitchen preparing dishes sprinkled with love sparkles I thought I would take the time to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas. Even if you don’t celebrate, Merry Christmas! You’d be a fool not contract this holiday spirit virus! I’ll admit Christmas is a lot different now that I’m an adult with bills, budgets and other fun responsibilities but I’ve got a lot to be grateful for and you do to, no matter what circumstances you are facing. Just the fact that you are sitting in a warm place with internet access reading this post means that you are beyond blessed.
I’ll never forget back in 09 when I was fairly new to blogging I had quite the opposite attitude around Christmas. It had turned out to be one of the most challenging years for me on a personal level. I was dumped two days before Christmas, could barley stop crying and had to host family at my apartment. I couldn’t figure out why I had been dumped and what I had done that was so wrong. I couldn’t understand why he didn’t want to work things out…I WANTED MY STUFF BACK! I would seesaw back between sad and angry until the spring of 2010. All I wanted to do was curl up under my covers and feel sorry for myself on Christmas day. I hated for my family to see me like this, everyone noticed the pain, the embarrassment and the depression…Grinch.
I’ll admit I was a bit delusional when it came to relationships, and I don’t know everything now (who does?) but I’m so grateful I went through the pain, embarrassment and self pity party. I bring up that experience today because well…it’s Christmas and my heart has never been stronger and more full.
At the beginning of the year I started coaching and I use that particular experience along with others to help others through their own challenges. Next Month (late-January) I start up my newly revamped 8-week Relationship Vision Group Workshop. If you’re new to the blog, the Relationship Vision Workshop is a group coaching course that is private and interactive.
Each week we meet to discuss topics such as: independent women & love (new!), establishing boundaries & reinforcing them, getting emotional needs met without coming across as needy, overcoming fears & active forgiveness. In addition to the group sessions each participant receives 2 60-minute private coaching sessions. Bonus: You receive free reference books. Group coaching is great for people who are open-minded, love to share, love to journal, and who benefit from receiving support from listening to others experiences.
I am not a certified coach, I have no shame in admitting that. My certifications come from my clients who I keep in touch with on a regular basis and repeatedly support my workshops & programs. I pour my heart and soul into these sessions and my goal is to make sure your goals are met.
In the spirit of season I am offering a special deal to GI readers: I know you have probably blown your budget with Christmas shopping but if you have $25 to spare between now and Saturday Jan.5th I am offering a $25 “SAVE MY SEAT” sale.
