Falling in Love: Vudz Official Launch Party Recap

Goddess & Chiggy's Touch Owner & Vudz creator Patience Chodokufa
Hey y’all I’m so wore out!!! I just got back from my extra long- travel disaster- but -hectic goodness of a weekend. Because my travel was so, ummmm… “Unpredictable” I got in late and was unmotivated to the point where I almost missed a chance to get up close and personal with Vudz hair products. Nevertheless I uncoiled myself from a slumberous disposition and headed out to Chiggy’s Touch Salon in Yorkville downtown Toronto, for an evening of cocktails and conversation with Toronto’s hair elite presented in part by Thierry Lifestyles.
The event was very live, guests were groomed to perfection, and models sported Vudz hair creations allowing guests to touch, feel, prod and poke at their fresh do to see for themselves that Vudz product was top of the line truth. In addition to selecting a high grade of hair for their desired look, guests were encouraged to select a top of the line extension specialist too. This ensures that your look is natural, soft to the touch but is durable and able to withstand daily wear and tear (and pulls *wink*).
Hair, similar to love is an investment. Whether your do is natural, pressed, twisted, curled, Solanged or extended select only the best products and treat your hair as a jewelled crown on your head, with the utmost respect. Your hair regimen is direct reflection of your self regimen.
I was pleased to be a part of the Vudz launch. It highlighted a couple things for me:
- A thriving black -owned business in an industry dominated by Asian suppliers
- A diverse clientele that boasts different ethnicities
All guests received gift certificates as thank you gifts for attending and can I tell you how I’m craving these Red Velvet cupcakes they were serving ….ooooo yummmmm!!
Check out some of my personal photos from last night. There are higher quality photos that once I get a hold of I will post.

In the interim, who does your hair? And in what way is your hair regimen a reflection of your self regimen?

Wow…I’ve been out of the hair thang for so many years, I had no idea what Vudz meant until I checked out the site LOL! I have been doing my own hair for years and years, and since I’ve been growing my locks (dang near ten years now), my regimen has become even more, well, complicated. I spend much quality time with my hair, making sure that it’s a reflection self-love

“Hair, similar to love is an investment” – I love it! Since I went natural the Dominican salons don’t particularly like doing my hair so I only go there for a blow out for a special event, otherwise I do it myself
